The Rev. Charles Pond Memorial Kitchen, housed in the basement of SS George & Matthias Episcopal Church, 111th and State Streets in Chicago, continues to serve the Roseland community under the directorship of Deacon Gwen Dillon. On the second Monday of each month, from September through June, volunteers from Transfiguration provide approximately 650 meals for men, women, and children. Our volunteers prepare hot meals, in addition to supplying dry staples. If you would like to support this ministry, a Soup Kitchen donation can will be available during Coffee Hour. If you prefer, there are also donation envelopes located in back of the church. Please use the sheet posted on the foyer bulletin board if you would like to volunteer.
