The printed materials for the 2009 Annual Parish Meeting can be found here. Ministry reports were not included in the printed handouts both in the interest of saving paper and printing costs, and because not all reports were ready at the time of the meeting. Ministry reports can be found on the parish web site.

2009 Stewardship Team Report Print E-mail
Wednesday, 18 March 2009 14:26

The Stewardship Team convened in January of 2008. Members of the team are Sue Burke, Mike Donahue, Tom Fuelling, Lane Hensley, and Juell Hood with Barbara Barnes as Chair.

We chose “Equipping Our People for Ministry” as our theme for the year, in keeping with our theology that stewardship is an integral part of our daily Christian life. To highlight the many ways that we engage in stewardship, we identified the ministries exercised here at Church of the Transfiguration.  Each month different ministries are recognized on a poster displayed in the sanctuary.  Information about each area of ministry and who to contact to be involved with the ministry is published in the Transcripts and in the Sunday bulletins.

Wednesday, 18 March 2009 14:24

The mission of the Day Care and Learning Center is to offer a caring and safe academic learning center and day care service for children of our community and to provide a source of income for The Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration to accomplish its ministries.

Many thanks go to all the board members this year who have attended meetings and given their oversight of the school and made contributions of time and talent.  Special thanks goes to the Vice Chairman Amy Johnson, Treasurer Samantha Quinn, and Secretary Helen Fitch.  Much gratitude is also owed to the school’s director, Suzanne Newman, her staff, and to our rector, Lane Hensley for their outstanding work and dedication to our fine Day Care and Learning Center.

2009 Memorial Garden Report Print E-mail
Wednesday, 18 March 2009 14:18

The Memorial Garden Committee continues to maintain the garden. Last spring, we planted annual flowers to augment the color provided by the perennials. We want to thank Mike and Chris Evans for mulching the garden this past summer.

Parishioners who would like more information concerning internment in the garden or the purchase of memorial/commemorative bricks can contact any member of the committee or the church office.

Please join me in thanking the members of the committee, Marianne Dawson, Sharon Fritz, Ruth  and Jan Jaekel, for their ongoing commitment to this project.
