(From January 2009) I have been a member of transfiguration as long as I can remember. My father (Jeff Wagner) has been coming here since he was a child and has served on vestry. My grandparents (Flo and Walter Wagner) still attend the eight o’clock service. My mother (Sandie Russo-Wagner) has been coming since ’96 and has served on Children and Youth Ministry Committee since ’98 and began working on the Vestry in 2007. My brother Jarrod (14) and I are regularly involved in vacation bible school and other church activities throughout the year such as the Christmas pagent and the Church’s coffee house.

At school I work as a mentor for freshman, and I try to do community service regularly at Share Your Soles. Besides mentoring and volunteer work I enjoy reading, fencing, bicycling, acting, and playing most pickup games with my friends. Also I am working towards getting my open water scuba certification at the end of this school year.

Transfiguration’s welcoming feel and great congregation have helped me to realize that this is where I belong. I constantly enjoy the people I meet and befriend at Transfiguration and the conversations to be had. I hope to be a component worthy of the Vestry.
