Information:
(From January 2005) I became an Episcopalian making my Confirmation at St. Matthews Church in Bloomington. Growing up in central Illinois, my family was very active in the Methodist and Episcopal Churches, one that followed carefully the Discipline, really the Book of Common Prayer, the Wesley version. My undergraduate education was in Food & Nutrition aiming at dietetics as the profession. I have six children, of whom five remain in stateside locations. When my children were growing up, I held hospital and school positions, completed a graduate program at Louis University in Evanston, where I earned a Master of Science degree in Educational Administration. Upon retirement, I incorporated myself and have worked and continue now as a nutrition consultant in private practice. I came to Transfiguration during Fr. Paul’s tenure, the choice partly because of location but more the challenge of a diverse membership, such as an outreach program with the Day Care facility on campus. Perhaps I can find in this board assignment a use for more service and growth. The Eucharistic services of the parish present a dignity and spiritual aura - certainly a much desired entity in 2005.
