(From January 2009) My husband, John, and I have been members of the Transfiguration family since 1982. We were married here and our two daughters, Joanna (20) and Julie (17) were baptized and confirmed here. During our tenure, I have been involved in many activities and committee. I have served as a church school teacher, a church school superintendent, a mentor for three confirmands, and have been a member of the vestry, the Altar Guild, the 50th Anniversary committee, the Children & Youth committee and the Parish Life Committee. A few years ago I also served a term on the Day Care Board. I have seen Transfiguration grow through the efforts of our clergy and all our members. The Day Care has been an integral part of this growth. It has served a great need for our church and our community. I feel this is our best opportunity to expand our congregation by bringing in our Day Care families. I have always appreciated the work of the Day Care Board in overseeing the management of this ministry and I look forward to again being a part of its continued success. I work full-time as a trainer of telemarketers in a call center in Oakbrook. In my spare time, I love to travel (John, Julie and I will soon be joining Joanna in London in March), read and do scrapbooks.
