(From January 2007) I am married to Julie for 32 years, have four adult children Robert J.(28), Heather (28), Valerie (26) and Kathryn (20). I have resided in Orland Park for 20 years and joined Transfiguration and the Episcopal Church approximately April of 2005. Prior to that I was raised as a Roman Catholic, attending 2 years in a Catholic grade school and 4 years in a Catholic High School. I was a member of the St. Michaels (Roman Catholic) Church in Orland Park for 18 years. Since joining Transfiguration I have participated in the Adult formation meetings with Rev. Bob Wyatt, acted as a mentor for this year’s Confirmation, and am serving as a lector. I graduated University of Illinois with a degree in Accounting in 1974. Received CPA in 1975. Masters of Business Admistration from University of Chicago in 1989. Early career includes various jobs as an accountant in both Public Accounting firms and public companies. I have been with American Technical Publishers, Inc. (an employee owned textbook publisher) in various capacities for 25 years. Currently it’s Chairman of the Board, President, and Administrator/Trustee of its’ retirement plan and trust. Main personal activities include maximizing time with my wife and family, golf, travel, reading and scuba diving. I have found Transfiguration to be a great church, filled with warm and loving people trying to live Christ’s gospel. I want to do what I can to assist Transfiguration’s members in continuing to maintain their current programs and activities, and in exploring additional ideas about how we can improve our outreach while remaining financially sound.
