(From January 2007) I’ve been a member of Transfiguration since I was a child. My husband Michael and I have been married for almost 25 years. We have lived happily in our Tinley Park home for over 20 of those years, where we have raised our three children, Myles (18), Griffin (15), and Nora (11). I am proud to be working part-time at ILLCO, Inc., an HVACR distributor; a company which my father has poured his heart and soul into since 1973. I really enjoy my job but I appreciate the “part-time” aspect as it als0 allows me time for other things, like volunteering at school, serving as Nora’s Girl Scout troop leader, et. I also enjoy gardening, decorating, baking, and spending time with family and friends. Over the years, I have been active at Transfiguration in several areas. I have served on the Children and Youth Ministry Committee since its beginning in the early 1990’s. I have been a church school teacher, confirmation mentor, Vestry member, and I’ve led or assisted in the direction of numerous Christmas pageants, among other things. I look forward to this new opportunity to serve on the Day Care Board and hope that my contributions will be useful. I see our Episcopal Day Care and Learning Center as not only an important source of income for Transfiguration, but as an important ministry as well.
