Information:
(From January 2008) Before Transfiguration, we were members of St. Boniface. We came to Transfiguration when you were looking for a new Rector, then we tried the Bread of Life. We liked it but the hard floors were more than our old knees could handle. We again tried Transfiguration and Lane was here We felt comfortable and stayed. My wife, Deanne, and I attend the 8:00 am. service and have only participated in a few other church activities. I have worked with computers since IBM came out with its 1st one and have been certified in production and inventory management to help me understand how computers could help a manufacturing Co. become and stay profitable. I am not sure how this could help a church function better. I was previously active at All Saints Church in Chicago as an acolyte, Co-Youth group leader, Co-leader of coffee hour, and Vestryman, and at St. Boniface Church Vestryman. It is hard to talk about strengths and weaknesses with most of my time being spent at the early service. Transfiguration has a feeling of family when you attend. You feel at home and that is what church is. Our weaknesses are the same as all Episcopal churches; we need more outreach to expand. We have a lot to offer and the word is not getting out. My hope is that we can grow and not lose our feeling of family.
