Vestry, Term Ending January 2011

Information:
(From January 2008) I started attending Transfiguration in June 2006 after searching the area for a church to bring my grandchildren. The warmth and friendliness of the congregation and clergy made my decision to continue here very easy. My main contribution to the churches I have attended has been as a member of the choir. I also taught Sunday School, Bible School, and was a Cursillo attendee and music leader. Music makes the service come alive and I see it as the universal language for anyone who attends. Music is one of Transfiguration’s strengths and I perceive it growing as strength weekly. To me the biggest weakness for Transfiguration is the lack of commitment from some parishioners who leave the “work of the parish to the dedicated few. I would like to see Transfiguration break out of the mold that is seen in many other parishes and have more people involved in the day-to-day life of the church.
