(From January 2008) My name is Laura Dawson. I’m 17 years old and have been attending Transfiguration for about 15 years. I have also been an acolyte for 7 years and am currently an acolyte prior. In the past, I have helped assist with Vacation Bible School. In addition to activities here at Transfiguration, I am a member of the Symphony Orchestra at Carl Sandburg High School. I enjoy playing the drums and learning guitar in my free time. I work at the First Midwest Bank Ampitheater as an usher, which gives me experience communicating with many people. I think Transfiguration’s greatest strength is the welcoming atmosphere we have, not just to newcomers, but for everyone. I hope that Transfiguration continues to grow, have its strong Youth Group, and keep the welcoming ambience that it already has.
