(From January 2008) I have become a member of the Transfiguration parish family since the fall of 2007. I have joined Transfiguration based on a personal desire to continue to grow and maintain my spirituality. Prior to joining Transfiguration, I was a member of St. Michael’s parish. For nine years I participated in youth ministry leadership by serving as the adult coordinator of the Children’s Ministry of the Work program (children served in this program ranged in age from K to 8th grade). In addition, I also volunteered for three years as a religious education instructor. The professional experience which I have to offer the Day Care program is over twenty years of business experience, which includes marketing and human resources. My first career was that of a Pediatric critical care nurse. I offer the perspective of both working mom and business professional. My vision for the figure of the Day Care program is that it continues to be developed to be positioned as one of the top five preferred choices within the Orland/Palos area and also serves a model for other programs in our diocese. The challenges are straightforward and range from maintaining and developing a competitive position in the community through a careful and critical balance of financial considerations, early learning curriculum, human resources, and other related issues.
