The Church of the Transfiguration is located in Palos Park at the intersection of W. 123rd Street (McCarthy Road) and S. 86th Avenue. Our worship and meeting space can be reached through entrances on either side of the building. The parking lot off 122nd Place offers handicapped accessible parking and easy entry into the building.

From Orland Park

• Take La Grange Rd. north to 123rd St. / McCarthy Rd.
• Turn right on 123rd St. / McCarthy Rd., and continue 0.3 miles to 86th Ave.
• The Church of the Transfiguration is on the far left (northeast) corner at 12219 S. 86th Ave.

From Lemont

• Take IL-83 South to 86th Ave.
• Turn right on 86th Ave., and continue 0.9 miles to 123rd St.
• The Church of the Transfiguration is on the near left (northeast) corner at 12219 S. 86th Ave.

From Downtown Chicago

• Take I-55 South to La Grange Rd., Exit 279A, Route 45 South.
• Continue south on La Grange Rd. / Route 45 for 6.9 miles to 123rd St. / McCarthy Rd.
• Turn left on 123rd St. / McCarthy Rd., and continue 0.3 miles to 86th Ave.
• The Church of the Transfiguration is on the far left (northeast) corner at 12219 S. 86th Ave.

From the North Suburbs

• Take the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) South through two toll booths.
• Take the first exit after I-55: 75th St. / Willow Springs Rd.
• Turn right (west) on 75th St., and continue .5 miles to the end at Willow Springs Rd.
• Turn left (south) on Willow Springs Rd, and continue 6.3 miles to McCarthy Rd.
  (The name of Willow Springs Rd. will change to Flavin Rd., and again to 104th Ave. along the way to McCarthy Rd.)
• Turn left (east) on McCarthy Rd., and continue 2.3 miles to a traffic light at 86th Ave.
  (The name of McCarthy Rd. will change to 123rd St. along the way to 86th Ave.)
• The Church of the Transfiguration is on the far left (northeast) corner at 12219 S. 86th Ave.

From the Harlem Avenue (IL-43) Southbound

• Enter Palos Hills just south of 103rd St, and watch for a soft right turn onto IL-7, Southwest Highway. (The J.C. Motel will be on your right). Turn right, and continue 1 mile to Southwest Highway (IL-7). Continue with the next set of directions.

From Southwest Highway (IL-7) Southwestbound

• Enter Palos Park just beyond IL-83, very shortly after crossing the Cal Sag Channel.
• Continue 0.8 miles and take the right exit ramp at 123rd St.
• Continue to the light just beyond the stop sign at the end of the ramp.
• The Church of the Transfiguration is on the near right (northeast) corner at 12219 S. 86th Ave.

From Southwest Highway (IL-7) Northeastbound

• After passing 131st St., you'll pass under a pedestrian bridge at the Children's Farm at The Center. Continue 1 mile beyond that and under two closely-spaced overpasses at the 123rd St. Exit. (Don't take that exit; it goes the wrong way!)
• Immediately past the second underpass, turn left on 122nd Pl., and continue to the end of the street. (IMPORTANT: 122nd Pl. is easy to miss. If you overshoot it, turn around and use the directions in the set just above.)
• The Church of the Transfiguration is on the near left (southeast) corner at 12219 S. 86th Ave.
