The Holy EucharistThe Holy Eucharist (also known as Holy Communion or the Lord's Supper) is the principal act of Christian worship on the Lord’s Day. At Transfiguration, worship is conducted according to Rite Two of the Book of Common Prayer and Enriching our Worship. Members serve as acolytes, element bearers, Eucharistic ministers, ushers, greeters, and lectors. All baptized Christians are welcome to receive communion with us. Gluten-free communion bread is available on request.

Sunday Worship Schedule

8:00 AM Eucharist
10:00 AM Eucharist (music with choir, followed by church school and coffee hour)

Christian Life is Grounded in BaptismMusic

Throughout our history, traditional music has been an important part of our worship service. Our music not only adds beauty to the service but also provides a means for deepening one's spiritual experience.

Christian Education

Christian education at the church is designed to supplement Christian values that children learn at home. The tradition at Transfiguration is for parents, teachers, and children to attend worship together at the 10 AM service. A major goal of our Christian education is building and maintaining a strong youth group with committed young people.

The church school organizes a variety of other activities during the year, including a pageant at Christmas, and an end of the year awards day with a picnic.

Christian education for young people is a strength of our congregation. The dedication and tireless work of the volunteers who teach and guide our young people is one of our greatest blessings.
